I started a new play through with the Worlds Update. I hadn't played the game for a long time since then because I jump in usually every other update. Inspired by Starfield, I decided to play aggressively and I built up my pirate reputation. It was fun attacking freighters, and then upgrading my multitool to take on sentinels, and upgrading my minotaur to also help me in battle. However, now I'm bored. I think I've put in about 100hrs. In my experience No Mans Sky starts off with a huge high of excitement, and then it just fizzles out. The problem for me is that getting better gear, upgrading vehicles and all the rest doesn't open up new opportunities. I can handle the environmental damage better, but the environment itself isn't much different to what I've already experienced. Theres nothing new to find, nothing new to see. Whereas in other games, when you get the "thing" you can now go deeper into the game, unlock new things. It's like the world doesn't grow with my character, that's how it feels. I'll get into a sentinel boss battle, defeat the thing, get the thing, then go to the tower thing, and get a multitool - every time. The liquidators expedition was fun but it was very rinse and repeat. I can build a base, but then what? It just feels like there is nowhere to go. Planet exploration is boring because it's one giant biome so no matter which way you go, for however long, the environment is the same. So I think Light No Fire will be more of what I'm looking for. I also think Starfield did the space exploration stuff better because I felt like if I upgrade my ship, I can go deeper into space where I'll face more danger but get more rewards, or find unique items or something. In NMS, it doesn't feel like that. I can warp around, but it's always the same. Even when I could visit those Red, Blue, and other planets and I needed the special hyperdrive to go there, those spaces weren't much interesting either.

Nothing unfortunate about sexy characters, even if your gay, it's not hurting you. I love the old school sword and sorcery style of muscle and skin women and men, nothing wrong with it. red Sonia was a babe! also this game and it's Gothic was a blast from what I remember.

Wonder If This Works On Steam Deck. I had it on psp/vita and loved this and class of heroes

I haven't seen the movie yet, and I'm hesitant to watch it. As I am with any adaptation, especially anime. The reason the outfits seem overly fitted for the characters is because the game visuals are inspired by a comic book art style. Real life Borderlands costumes don't really look as good without the iconic "shading" effect. As for the casting, I'm not optimistic about them, particularly Roland. Kevin Hart doesn't have the height, build, or voice to portray him. Tina is the only character who seems accurate from the trailer. She is supposed to be a hyperactive teenager. Another thing is the lack of two other characters who should have been part of the main group; Brick and Mordecai. Instead we got CL4P-TP and Krieg. Not that either of them are bad characters. It's just that Claptrap is supposed to be occasional comic relief as a town "resident" whom nobody likes (because he's comically obnoxious) while Krieg is more of a side character with his own established backstory. Overall I'd recommend playing the games instead. I already know it's a fail lore wise despite not watching it simply because Krieg is present. He had not canonically met Roland (Kevin Hart) and Lilith (Cate Blanchett) until the events of Borderlands 2 and since Tina is there, he doesn't make sense other than as fan service. The games may be full of nonsense and vylense, but they also hit the feels sometimes. The Borderlands 2 DLC, 'Bunkers and Badasses' (DnD parody) has a great emotional closure directly involving Tina. The TellTale Borderlands is pretty good too. It's a version of Borderlands featuring multiple branching paths and endings depending on choices you make throughout the story; basically the Butterfly Effect. Certain decisions can potentially lock you out of a specific ending so you have to be methodical about how you decide; sometimes with only a few seconds too. I like these kinds of games. Some others with the butterfly effect are Heavy Rain, Detroit Become Human, Beyond Two Souls (These aren't made by Telltale Games). Telltale has also made a Batman game and The Walking Dead game with the butterfly effect.

Nudity is considered bad in some cultures but not all. The reason is because of the history of clothing being rooted in surviving harsh environments. Not some goofy supernatural idea. Literally tens of thousands of years worth of various amounts of clothing in different climates created a desire-turned-social mandate to wear it. Our prehistoric ancestors started wearing clothes because of low temperatures during the Ice Age. When later civilizations had been established, clothing became primarily a cultural fashion preference. Centuries later it was so common to hide the natural body that it became taboo to show oneself in certain cultures. Some wore less and some wore more. Those who chose to wear more had become accustomed to viewing the human body as an arousing thing, whereas those who chose less were less inclined to react at the mere sight of it.

Reminds me of when I read Dracula, by Bram Stroker. I knew who Dracula was, but I was still interested in reading how the characters unravelled that mystery. Even I was surprised by somethings that Dracula did, even though I knew he was a Vampire, but the characters didn't. However, when Van Helsing was introduced, he ruined everything. I imagine Dracula for me was like the Alien for you with this movie...?

I gotta say, as one of the people who absolutley hate this game and think it walks all over the dead corpse of the franchise, it's good to see people who genuinley think it's good. The way we make progress is by disagreeing, after all.

I played that when I was what…13? On Nintendo. It was fun but it was the only thing there was. Makes grinding Wow Vanilla look like being handed everything for free at the Taj Mahal. 😂

You're still hanging in with DC at this point? If you want to. There are alternatives ... independents. I read a few issues of Red Koi & Blood Realm. Red Koi is the stand out so I'll probably continue with it.

Would you have preferred the humour style to be like Guardians of the Galaxy? I saw the trailer, and it gave me chills which usually means that I'll like the movie. However, it is winter here in Australia....

I really liked it. My only real quibble was with Catwoman, I wasn't used to her being so _carefree_ and not as skilled. It kind of bothered me a little bit because I'm used to her being somewhat more competent. The lack of explanation for certain things created some laugh-out-loud moments for me. I did like that there were increased stakes in the combat and material. Lastly, I have no issue with gender swaps, because DC just has done these sorts of things before. I really appreciated that they just went for it, in this series and tried out truly new approaches. That said, I'm eager for the next season, I just hope they pace themselves going forward.

Borderlands was probably my favorite game series before i started monitoring the content i consume, I'm not saying people who play Borderlands are in sin, it's just I'm not sure what I am and I'm not allowed to play currently as a christian so ive decided to stay on the safe side and pick stuff i can know for sure is okay. Can't say I'm really familiar with the games or interested in seeing this. However one bit of curious trivia I heard today is that this movie was actually finished three years ago and the studio was just sitting on it. Not usually a good sign haha.

I'm just confused about the book of Genesis (The Adam and Eve and the whole creation of everything part) most Christians believe that its literally, to which I cannot follow. The bible breaks its self apart right from the start in the creation story to me, unless its some kinda symbolism of mankind. I saw both chapter 1 and 2 director cuts and it was amazing, I felt that there was more brought into the characters there "why's" and "how's" were explained better. As well as seeing the gore in the violence and of course sexuality. It does not hit Star Wars, but it does make things realistic, I hope there will still be a chapter 3 and to make it better he can add Matt Reeves in the project to add more deepness as well as great writers from great movies. Overall I give Rebel Moon Directors Cut part 1, 9 out of 10 and part 2 9.5 out of 10.

Yea , you need to stop being such a snowflake & letting small things like a gender swap , race swap , or even sexual orientation revision turn you off on a good show. Besides you haven't even proved they did it for a political reason. There's good financial reasons to have a show relate to it's target audience. Further , with all the MCU multiverse BS you should be used to alternate takes on comic characters. Maybe stop being close minded & judge the show by the metrics of a good story & not the superficial metrics you seem caught up on.

A way Batman Caped Crusader could have worked with a black Jim Gordon and Barbara Gordon is by not making black Jim Gordon police commissioner. Back in the day there was a comic, Batman: Year One. It dealt with Batman in his first year crimefighting and dealing with a corrupt city government and police force who were in on the urban decay with the mob. A 30s-40s Batman could have run with that and had Batman being effective in cleaning up crime syndicates and mobsters in opposition to the Gotham elite's wishes. Where a black Jim Gordon could have come into this is by maybe having Gordon be a leader of the Gotham dockworkers, or warehouse workers, or general working class group who the Gotham city government dismisses as a nonentity. That could have been an interesting dichotomy. The elite hate Batman as a vigilante for ruining their corrupt graft while the blue collar working class like Batman for taking out the criminals no matter who they were or who they were connected to Downtown. That could have worked for subtly acknowledging 1940s racism while not making it obvious and having black Jim Gordon be like Batman's pulse to keep track of what was going on in the street. That could have worked as a good kind of duality to explore. Rich Bruce Wayne is completely out of his element as a vigilante and who he associates with to be effective as Batman, but learns and evolves and takes on the criminal element from the bottom street level up, following the connections to the bosses in their fitted suits and offices and high society parties. Instead we got this.

I'm not a comics fan, just a casual "fan" of DC, I don't like everything they put out nor a fan of superheroes. I follow DC just cause of Teen Titans and casually watch the rest. The show is great, I just put it on TV to eat a ramen and ended up watching the whole 10 episodes. I'm amazed at how everyone just tags something as bad cause... Penguin is a woman or Gordon is black? Anyways, 7.5 - 8 /10
